Mzee Oumo Stephen of Ngora today told the high court in Soroti how NRA soldiers of the ZULU Batallion (83rd) arrested him, tortured him, occupied his home near Ngora Dem. School for over 3 years, ate his cows, chicken and took everything from his home. He clearly still bore marks of torture on his body, his vehicles, milling machines, tractor and other equipment taken by NRA as he watched painfully his priced bulls slaughtered as he watched and being tortured for no crime but simply owning a home near where NRA wanted to establish a barracks. Almost 40 years down the road, he’s still in court despite having been verified and recommended for payment by Ministry of Defense way back in 2005. Some of his bothers have since passed on. God save the people of Teso from the dishonesty of NRM government/ UPDF.
