Qualifications
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Makerere University (LLB) and a Diploma in Legal Practice (Dip. LP LDC) from the Law Development Centre.
He holds a Masters of Arts Philosophy, and a Bachelors of Arts from Makerere University.
Work experience
Advocate of the Courts of Judicature of Uganda. Experience in the areas of Corporate Law, Commercial law, Banking Law, civil litigation, Labour laws in Uganda, class action suits and general legal practice.
A former President of Amnesty International Uganda Chapter Africa Regional Office, an Author of an internationally selling book, Apollo Milton Obote: “What Others Say”. Over the years of experience, Mr. Omongole has worked on a number of High Profile matters, initiated ground breaking litigation
both in commercial law and Human Rights
His practice spans over 20 years with his major Cases won including the over $200m case by the Iteso Community against the Government of Uganda for compensation of lives and property, the over $500m Frozen Accounts case for the Nubian Community on going at the East African Court of Justice at Arusha among other ground breaking Litigations
